What Blane is

Blane is bookkeeping and financial-operations software for information businesses. It ingests data from accounts you connect, organizes it into books, and produces reports and estimates to help you run your business.

Blane is software. It is not an accounting firm, a CPA firm, a law firm, or a financial advisor, and using it does not create a professional or fiduciary relationship.

Estimates, not advice

Every tax figure Blane shows you is an estimate produced by software from the data you connect. Estimates can be wrong, and data you connect can be incomplete.

You agree to confirm any figure with a licensed professional before relying on it, including before making a tax payment, a filing decision, an election, or a distribution.

Blane does not prepare or file tax returns.

Your data and your accounts

You connect accounts through read-only authorization wherever the provider supports it. You can disconnect any account at any time.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter manually and for maintaining access to the accounts you connect.

Limits of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Blane's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is capped at the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Blane is not liable for penalties, interest, or losses that result from relying on an estimate without professional confirmation, from data a connected provider supplied incorrectly, or from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Your responsibilities

Use Blane only for lawful business purposes. Keep your credentials secure. Do not attempt to access another customer's data or to interfere with the service.

Changes and termination

You can cancel at any time; paid features stop at the end of the billing period. We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes before they take effect.
