Draft for the prototype. A licensed attorney reviews and replaces this before the first paying customer.

Tax estimates

Blane's tax figures are estimates computed by software. They are based on the data you connect, the entity type and state you configure, and simplifying assumptions that are documented next to each figure.

Estimates are not tax advice, are not a substitute for a licensed professional, and can differ from your actual liability. Confirm every figure with a CPA or enrolled agent before acting on it.

Blane does not prepare or file tax returns and is not an IRS e-file provider.

Scope of the tax engine

The current engine covers US single-owner LLCs and S-corps in a single state. Multi-member entities, C-corps, partnerships, multi-state apportionment, and non-US entities are out of scope, and Blane will say so rather than guess.

Security posture

Read-only OAuth connections wherever the provider supports it. Encryption in transit and at rest. Full audit logging. No card numbers stored. SOC 2 Type II certification is on our roadmap and its status is available on request.

Trademarks

Stripe, Whop, Skool, Kajabi, PayPal, GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels, Discord, Circle, Teachable, Plaid, Wise, Calendly, Slack, and Gusto are trademarks of their respective owners. Blane uses these names to indicate compatibility. None of these companies sponsors or endorses Blane.

Prototype status

This site currently demonstrates the product with seeded example data. Figures shown in demos are illustrative, and scenario cards describe how the product works rather than the results of named customers.

Tax figures shown anywhere in Blane are estimates, not advice. Confirm them with a licensed professional. Blane does not prepare or file returns.
